From conversation to next steps
Tell the clinic you want to discuss self-pay care or coverage questions. Ask about the visit fee, payment details and any additional service charges.
Discuss your symptoms or care priorities with the clinician, along with relevant history, medicines and allergies. Bring available records to the visit rather than using the general enquiry form.
The clinician explains the assessment and recommended options. Ask questions about any proposed tests, referrals or follow-up, including whether separate providers may be involved.
Ask when follow-up is needed, how to arrange it and which costs to clarify. A self-pay visit or confirmed appointment is separate from ongoing family-practice attachment.
Use general enquiries for questions about fees, payment arrangements and how to access care. Ask the clinic how to provide any coverage documents or medical records through an appropriate channel. Let the clinic know about accessibility or communication needs when arranging your visit.
